Annebet Philips is a Dutch Designer. From her Amsterdam studio she creates ‘Iconic design with a playful twist’. She enjoys playing with familiar, archetypal shapes and to put them in a new perspective. Together with a recognisable, outspoken almost cartoon-like signature she designs strong, surprising products and furniture that leave a smile on your face.Annebet graduated cum laude in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology in 2007. She designs for both niche design labels as global companies such as Seletti, Mogg, Tonone, Gsus, Scotch & Soda and Tommy Hilfiger. All known for their authentic style and unconventional approach. Having an artist’s heart and an engineer’s mind, it is natural for Annebet to combine conceptual thinking with commercial and technical feasibility. ‘I love the entire process of creating, from idea to reality’.‘As designers I believe it is important to celebrate originality, to keep on seeing things in a new, different way. I believe everything around you affects you, so better to surround yourself with things that inspire and bring joy.
